Machine Minder / Setter

Job description Job Title: Machine Minder – Plastic Extrusion Department: Production Location: Droitwich WR9 Reports To: Production Manager Job Purpose: To efficiently operate and maintain plastic extrusion machines ensuring optimal production output and quality while adhering to safety standards. Job Summary: We are seeking a Machine Minder for Plastic Extrusion to join our team. The Machine Minder will be responsible for operating and maintaining plastic extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. Duties: - Operate and monitor plastic extrusion machines to ensure proper production - Adjust machine settings as needed to meet product specifications - Perform regular quality checks on produced materials - Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine issues to minimize downtime - Assist in the setup and changeover of machine components - Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications: - Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment - Knowledge of CAD software, SolidWorks, or similar programs would be advantages. - Mechanical aptitude with the ability to fabricate, mill, and assemble components - Familiarity with materials handling techniques - Ability to weld and work with logic controllers is a plus Join our team as a Machine Minder for Plastic Extrusion and contribute to the production of top-quality plastic products Opportunity to develop and progress to a setter role. Hours of Work : Mon – Thu 6pm to 6am 44 hours paid Starting wage £12ph rising to £12.60 after 12 weeks and potentially achieve £13.65ph once fully trained.
