Job title Assistant Shop Manager Droitwich Hours 22.5 hours per week (worked over three days across the week to included some weekend working) Salary £23,400 - £23,595 per annum FTE. Actual salary £14,040 - £14,157 Contract Permanent Location 3/4 Gurney's Lane Droitwich, WR9 8EL The role We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as an Assistant Shop Manager working at our Droitwich shop. The post holder will play a key role working closely with and deputising for the Shop Manager in all aspects of running a thriving and busy charity shop. Our retail roles are full of variety and can range from using your creativity and flair in all aspects of merchandising the shop, to then, recruiting and training our wonderful team of shop volunteers. Our Droitwich shop is at the heart of the local community. You will assist in achieving set income targets and maximising sales, where you can make a real difference in contributing to the income generation for St Richard’s Hospice and raise the funds needed to provide care to patients and loved ones across Worcestershire. St Richard’s Hospice currently have 17 shops throughout Worcestershire, which achieved a turnover of £2.4m last year through the sale of good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, books and furniture, donated by local people. About you You will have excellent customer service and have some experience and working knowledge within a retail environment or a customer focused role, ideally with team leader or management experience. You will also have the ability to work cohesively and motivate a team. You will be business minded and be commercially aware, with a creative eye for fabulous window and shop displays. Due to the nature of the role and travel required to our shops a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are requirements for the role. The positions require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. This role may require supervision of volunteers under the age of 18.
