Rachmaninov 2nd Piano Concerto by Candlelight
7:30pm
The evening begins with the noble grandeur of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5, also known as “The Emperor”. With its bold, majestic themes and virtuosic brilliance. The mood then softens with Grieg’s Morning from Peer Gynt—a gentle, radiant piece that evokes the beauty of a new dawn with its lyrical charm and peaceful optimism.
The concert concludes with the deeply emotional and enduringly popular Piano Concerto No. 2 by Rachmaninov. Overflowing with lush romantic melodies and dramatic intensity.
